Live in a vacation paradise. Welcome to nature’s theme park, St. Lucie County on Florida’s famous Treasure Coast. With 21-miles of award-winning white-sand beaches, world-class golf facilities including the PGA of America’s 4 courses and PGA Learning and Golf Performance Center and the tropical breezes, every day will feel like a vacation – without leaving your own back yard.

Water Sports and Fishing
Plunge into the famous Treasure Coast beaches just minutes away. Snorkel the rare coral reefs and walk out to snorkel the shipwrecks in an underwater paradise. Boat the abundance of waterways, catching both fresh and salt water fish.
Some of the best inshore and offshore Florida fishing is found right here. You can easily deep sea fish in the world famous Gulf Stream a few miles off shore. This area is commonly called “the billfish capital of the world”, but king mackerel, mahi-mahi, snapper, grouper, sea bass and cobia also swim here.
Catch yourself a Florida lobster during the season in St. Lucie – one of the state’s most thriving breeding grounds —which lasts from August 6 through March 31. If you prefer a more peacefully paced Atlantic angling experience, surf fishing along our beautiful coastline offers great fun. And you won’t want to overlook pier fishing at South Jetty Park, where you can cast your cares away on the longest fishing jetty in Florida.
Fishing opportunities also abound further inland for those with an inshore inclination. You can find redfish, channel bass, snook, trout and more in the backwaters of the St. Lucie River, or hook huge bass in the chain of lakes found in the Savannas region of the county.
Nature
Stroll the beach at night and see a rare 300-lb sea turtle laying eggs in our protective sands. Hear a manatee sing at the Manatee Observation Center in Ft. Pierce. Visit wildlife in their natural habitat in the Savannas. This beautiful part of Florida’s Treasure Coast is called Nature’s Theme Park ™ for a reason.
Sports
If you are a sports fan, you'll have a chance to do it all in St.Lucie. Join the frenzy and excitement of spring training baseball, played less than a mile from Verano at Digital Domain Park. The New York Mets make Port St. Lucie’s own Digital Domain Park the site of their spring training, with home games facing the likes of such heavy-hitting teams as the Atlanta Braves, the Florida Marlins, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Baltimore Orioles and the St. Louis Cardinals. Or visit any one of the 10 teams that play in South Florida.
